Exactly that, the looming and ominous atmospheres crafted by beauty that turns into malevolence or by putrid hatred are much more appealing to me than the generic fantasy tales that we have read myriads of times (for historical reference, myriads is like 10,000s since  μύριοι in ancient Greek meant 10,000 and they used it to count soldiers in battalions or so). I am with you, better to decrease the goal since you already reach a respectable amount of funding and then the effect of that into the backers' psychology will sprout even more backers and funding rather than going again for the big deal. Indeed, summer is usually dead, people allocating money for vacations rather than for gaming. The initial mould cost is the biggest nail in the financial coffin but as you mentioned, following prints make it much more affordable, that is why small companies actually gain profit from second prints rather than the first investment. I am also intrigued to see the new ideas you have come up with, especially since they will be shrouded by your aesthetic and creative patterns. For solo play I have no idea or feedback since I play board games to socialize with my group rather than embark on an adventure myself against the lore of the game. A final question is about your singing, were you the one singing in the thinning veil promo in instagram? I think it was a "Rainbow in The Dark" song but I did not recognise Dio in it. I am a big fan of progressive metal and rock, especially when jazz is added to the mix but of course I pledge allegiance to the older rock and hard rock gods. Keep us updated please about your progress and brainstorming and eventually, we will enjoy all your vision and why not a novel as well?

I thought I replied for the hellraiser comment, didn't I? My apologies. Clive Barker wasn't the skilled director for sure I just liked the aesthetic he made or even in the PC game "Jericho". Never played any of the SFG projects even though I am familiar with the names and big IPs. I think they are the ones that made now the Elden Ring that did not go as well as they would have wanted as per the fanbase and the associated costs they had to pay for licensing. However, any game can be good for inspiration or preemptively see intrinsic design flaws and try to tackle them for your own game. There is definitely space for The Thinning Veil but as you also highlighted, unless it gets exposure even with a low cost prototype, YouTubers will not promote it and oh boy they do influence so many people. What is happening with Mythic games is outrageous but still people keep paying, increasing their original pledge cost by 50% or more. In addition, you mentioned Zombicide but I was averse my eyes from it due to its generic beers and pretzel style so I never played any of them. However, I want to play more Cthulhu Death May Die and pledged for "Fear of The Unknown". As you properly said narrative separates an outstanding game from a good game. My group and I are finishing Chronicles of Drunagor and even though we really like the mechanics which are the backbone of a game, its shallow narrative made us care minimally about the story and it feels a bit incomplete. Hope they change that in the "Apocalypse" expansion. The rulebook of the Thinning Veil needs a bit of tampering since I think it introduces pretty late the "how to play" section. I can give more constructive feedback after I read it properly and in detail. Finally, I am excited to see your project and ideas as the gateway Thinning Veil but maybe you should not overlap with Aeon Trespass:Second Printing that kicks off 16th of May I think. There is always a big player but it is also a campaign albeit boss battler as well, hence it may obstruct the Veil's success. Pardon me for any grammatical mistakes, did not proofread it again because i believe I am understandable in English haha.
